ARUNODAYA SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM FOR GIRLS

IDEA has set up its own intervention programs in consultation with the local partner organizations to complement their efforts at grassroots. Based on the analytical review of their programs, IDEA has come up with its first education support program called “Arunodaya Sponsorship Program”.

Arunodaya aims at addressing Deprivation, Exclusion and vulnerabilities through Education.

To begin with IDEA has developed a sponsorship program for supporting 50 girl students annually. Salient features of the program are:

• Arunodaya Sponsorship program uses funds raised through individual or institutional grants to provide regular financial support to girl children in the age group of 6 to 14 years
• Arunodaya enrolls girls recommended by IDEA partner agencies using mutually agreed criteria, which focuses on the economic need of the girl students studying in a private school.  
• Arunodaya’s sponsorship includes Rs. 200/- per month for academic year.
